P&H: Land Acquisition - Condones 3426 days (about 9-Year) Delay; Grants Landowners Enhanced Compensation On Par With Earlier Batch, But No Interest For Delay Period
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has condoned a delay of 3426 days and granted enhanced compensation to landowners in line with an earlier batch decision on the same acquisition. While court denied interest on the enhanced amount for the delayed period to balance equities.
The case arises from acquisition of land for development of Sectors 65–68, Sonipat.
