P&H: Cancels Anticipatory Bail Granted On Compromise After Cheque Bounces; Accused Failed To Join Probe
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has cancelled the anticipatory bail of an accused in a cheating case after finding that the protection was granted solely on the basis of a settlement which he failed to honour, and that he did not join the investigation. Justice Manisha Batra allowed a petition under Section 483(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, moved by the complainant.
