P&H: Dismisses Second Appeal Seeking To Restrain PSPCL From Disconnecting Tube-Well Power Supply
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed a Regular Second Appeal filed by a farmer seeking a permanent injunction to restrain Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) from disconnecting two tube-well electricity connections. Justice Nidhi Gupta delivered the judgment on May 14, 2026, in RSA-2201-2024.
The appellant, Sukhwinder Singh, had sued for a permanent injunction claiming that PSPCL officials threatened to disconnect the supply to two tube-well connections installed on land inherited from his grandfather. The Trial Court dismissed the suit in 2019, and the First Appellate Court affirmed that decision in March 2024, prompting the second appeal.
