P&H: Gair Mumkin Rasta -Dismisses School’s Writ, Upholds Eviction For Encroaching On Village Rasta
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed a writ petition filed by School challenging eviction orders passed under Section 7 of the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961, for encroaching upon public pathway (Gair Mumkin Rasta). A Division Bench noted concurrent findings that the school had raised a boundary wall over 3 Kanals 4 Marlas of the rasta.
