P&H: Refuses Anticipatory Bail to Accused of Dattar Blow That Broke Complainant’s Teeth

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has declined anticipatory bail to Jodha Singh, who was booked in an FIR arising out of a violent village clash in Amritsar district. The Court said the petitioner was specifically attributed the most serious role in the incident and therefore did not deserve the extraordinary relief.

According to the complaint, Kuldeep Singh alleged that he and his brother were returning home on a motorcycle when they were stopped at a village chowk by several men armed with sharp-edged weapons. He said Jodha Singh raised a lalkara and exhorted the others to attack them.
