P&H: Grants Bail in Land Dispute, Says Case Is Essentially Civil Dispute

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted regular bail to Punit Beriwala in a Gurugram land dispute case, observing that the matter was essentially civil in nature and had been given a criminal colour.

The FIR invoked sections including cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy under the IPC, along with corresponding provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita that were referred during investigation.
