P&H: Grants Bail to accused in CBI Banking IDFC Bank Fraud Cases
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted regular bail to Amit Dewan, who was facing two CBI cases arising out of an alleged large-scale banking fraud involving public funds of government entities in Haryana and Chandigarh.
The cases related to alleged unauthorized opening and operation of bank accounts with private banks, transfer of public money into those accounts, and fraudulent withdrawals allegedly carried out in conspiracy with bank officials and others.
