P&H: 31,000 tablets of Alprazolam, Prosecution witnesses were yet to be examined, Grants Bail in NDPS Case Citing Prolonged Custody and Slow Trial

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted regular bail to Jasjot Singh @ Jot, who was facing trial in an NDPS case involving recovery of 31,000 Alprazolam tablets and drug money. The Court said that although the allegations were serious and involved commercial quantity of contraband, the petitioner’s long custody and the slow pace of trial weighed in favour of bail.
