The Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed a petition seeking quashing of an FIR on the basis of compromise, holding that such a plea is not maintainable unless all accused named in the case are impleaded before the Court.

The petition was filed by Mandeep Kaur, Arshdeep Singh and Baljit Kaur @ Amarjeet Kaur, who sought quashing of FIR No. 198 dated 17.09.2021 registered under Sections 341, 323, 324, 325, 506, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Dirba, District Sangrur.
