P&H: Grants bail to two men accused of GST fake ITC (Input Tax Credit) scam worth over ₹197 crore**

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted regular bail to Ankit Goyal and Sanjeev Kumar alias Sanjeev Goyal in a GST fraud case involving allegations of fake firms, bogus invoices and fraudulent input tax credit claims running into hundreds of crores.

According to the prosecution, the two men allegedly created 26 fake firms using identities obtained through fraudulent means. The complaint said fake GST invoices worth about ₹1161.10 crore were issued and fake input tax credit of around ₹176.24 crore was passed on to beneficiary firms.
