P&H: Interim protection made absolute to Accused in Grievous Hurt FIR, Says Custodial Interrogation Not Needed

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Ravinder Kumar in a case arising out of an FIR registered at Jagadhari Sadar police station in Yamuna Nagar district. The case involved allegations under Sections 115, 118(2), 191(3) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

Justice Surya Partap Singh noted that the petitioner had already been granted interim anticipatory bail earlier, subject to joining the investigation and furnishing bonds. The court was informed that the petitioner had complied with that direction and had joined the investigation.
