The Punjab and Haryana High Court has disposed of a batch of writ petitions filed by employees of affiliated colleges in Haryana who challenged their termination from service.

The petitioners had approached the court seeking quashing of termination orders issued by their respective colleges. They argued that they were regular employees and that their removal was illegal because the mandatory procedure under the Haryana Affiliated Colleges (Security of Service) Act, 1979 was not followed.
