P&H: Grants Bail in Rs 15 Lakh Cheating Case, Says Further Incarceration Not Required, custody of more then 6 months, no witness examined
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted regular bail to Piya Kumar in a cheating and criminal breach of trust case arising out of an alleged Rs 15 lakh fraud. The Court noted that the petitioner had been in custody since February 1, 2026, while none of the 14 prosecution witnesses had been examined so far.
