The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted regular bail to Mohar Singh alias Moharu, who was accused of misusing his position as a field officer to fraudulently obtain loan amounts in the names of women borrowers.

Justice Sanjay Vashisth noted that the petitioner had already spent more than 1 year and 8 months in custody, had no previous criminal case against him, and the trial was likely to take considerable time to finish.
