P&H: denies bail to accused in murder case despite hostile witnesses, orders trial to finish in six months
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has refused regular bail to Vikash alias Vicky, who is facing trial in a murder case registered at Sadar Rohtak in January 2023. The petition was filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, which corresponds to the regular bail provision under the old Code of Criminal Procedure.
According to the prosecution version, the complainant said that four young men arrived at the spot on a scooter and motorcycle and opened fire on his nephew Manish after a family ceremony. Manish was taken to PGIMS, Rohtak, where he was declared dead....
