P&H: Grants Anticipatory Bail to Accused in Cheating Case as he joined investigation and was no longer required for custodial interrogation
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Manjinderpal Singh alias Monu in a case involving allegations of cheating and criminal conspiracy in a travel-abroad matter.
The FIR had been registered under Sections 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professionals (Regulation) Act, 2014. The complainant alleged that he was cheated of about ₹14.59 lakh on the promise of being sent abroad.
