P&h: Rejects Bail Plea in NDPS Case of 30 injections of Buprenorphine, Cites Commercial Quantity Recovery and Multiple Prior Cases and jumped bail on two occasions
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed the bail plea of Lakhvir Singh @ Kala in a narcotics case, holding that the recovery from him fell within commercial quantity and that the statutory conditions for bail under the NDPS Act were not satisfied.
The petition was filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, in connection with FIR No. 153 dated 10 July 2023 registered at Police Station Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur, under Section 22 of the NDPS Act.
