The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Gurmeet Singh alias Kansi in a case involving the alleged theft of a licensed pistol and seven live cartridges from a complainant’s house in Amritsar.

The case arose from an FIR registered at Majitha Road police station under provisions corresponding to theft and conspiracy offences. The complainant, Kabir Sharma, had alleged that his licensed firearm, magazine and ammunition were missing from a drawer in his bedroom and suspected that a maid employed at his house had stolen them.
