P&H: Grants Bail in Murder SC/ST Case, Says mere presence at the scene of crime cannot impute same level of culpability to all accused. 

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted regular bail to Jatinder Singh @ Teji in a murder case arising out of a group assault, observing that individual roles must be specifically established in cases of group violence.

Justice Manisha Batra was hearing an appeal under Section 14-A(2) of the SC/ST Act against the Special Court’s order refusing bail in an FIR registered under several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the SC/ST Act.
