The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted interim anticipatory bail to Gurpreet Singh Kathuria in a Patiala case arising out of allegations of a violent clash during a matrimonial dispute mediation.

The FIR alleged that the complainant’s niece and her husband were involved in matrimonial discord, and when the husband came to the complainant’s house with another person for mediation, a quarrel broke out. It was further alleged that around 15 to 20 persons later arrived at the spot, entered the house armed with weapons, and caused injuries to the complainant’s family members.
