The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted bail to three accused in a Gurdaspur shootout case, noting that they had already spent nearly a year in custody and that the trial was moving slowly.

The petitions were filed by Sajanpreet Singh @ Sajan, Harmanpreet Singh and Ankit under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. They were booked in FIR No. 100 dated 12 August 2025 at Police Station Sadar Gurdaspur for offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act after a firing incident allegedly linked to a clash between two groups of gangsters.
