P&H: Allows limited recall of witnesses in assault case, grants accused one effective opportunity to confront them on place of occurrence
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has allowed a criminal petition filed by Mohit Kumar, but only to a limited extent, in a case arising out of an FIR alleging assault with a sickle and a danda. The Court said the accused would get one effective opportunity to further cross-examine two prosecution witnesses, but only on the narrow issue of the place where the incident allegedly took place.
