P&H: Reduces attempt to murder sentence to period already undergone, enhances fine

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has partly allowed an appeal filed by Dilbag in a 2003 attempt-to-murder case, upholding his conviction but reducing the sentence to the period already undergone. The Court also enhanced the fine from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000.

The case arose from an FIR registered at Safidon, Jind, under Sections 285, 307 and 336 of the Indian Penal Code.
