P&H: Directs Haryana authorities to reconsider widow’s claim for compassionate financial assistance
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed the Haryana authorities to treat a writ petition as a representation and decide the petitioner’s claim for compassionate financial assistance in accordance with law.
The petition was filed by Panmeshri Devi, whose son had been appointed as a TGT (English) in the respondent department on 28 July 2024. According to the petitioner, her son died in harness on 3 September 2024, making her entitled to compassionate financial assistance under the Haryana Civil Services (Compassionate Financial Assistance or Appointment) Rules, 2019.
