P&H: Sets Aside Refusal to Condon 503 Day Delay in RERA Appeal, Says Matter Should Be Decided on Merits

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has allowed an appeal filed by M/s IREO Grace Realtech Private Limited against an order of the Haryana Real Estate Appellate Tribunal that had refused to condone a delay of 503 days in filing its RERA appeal.

The company had challenged an order passed by the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority on 26 May 2023. Its appeal before the Appellate Tribunal was accompanied by an application seeking condonation of delay, and the required pre-deposit was also made. However, the Tribunal dismissed the appeal after declining to excuse the delay.
