P&H: Protects Possession of Petitioners Pending Appeal in Eviction Dispute
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered status quo on possession in a dispute arising from an eviction order passed by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ratia, while the petitioners’ appeal remains pending before the appellate authority.
Jasvir Khan and others had approached the High Court under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution seeking quashing of the orders dated 09.04.2025 and 26.08.2026, as well as a letter dated 02.09.2026 issued by the Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Ratia, for demarcation and police assistance.
