P&H: Disposes Motor Accident Compensation Appeal After Settlement For Rs 6.5 Lakh
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has disposed of an appeal filed by Rajinder Singh and others seeking enhancement of compensation awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Panipat, in a case arising from a fatal road accident.
The case concerned the death of Vikas, who died after sustaining injuries in an accident involving a Tata Magic vehicle bearing registration number HR56A-3031 on 14 September 2013. The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal had awarded the claimants Rs 4.61 lakh with interest at 7.5 per cent per annum, payable by United India Insurance Company.
