P&H: Grants Bail in Murder Case, Once eye witness stands examined probability of tampering with prosecution witnesses does not survive, Notes 19-Month Custody, No Antecedents
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted regular bail to Ranjit Singh, who is facing trial in FIR alleging offences under Sections 103(1) and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 25 of the Arms Act.
The case stems from an FIR registered at Police Station Khanna alleging that the petitioner fired at the complainant’s father, who later died. The FIR also named two co-accused and referred to prior village panchayat rivalry as motive.
