The Punjab and Haryana High Court has set aside a post-facto alteration of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) proceedings that had denied promotion to a Tehsildar, Roshan Lal, to the post of District Revenue Officer (DRO). High Court directed the State of Haryana to grant him notional promotion from June 16, 2021, with all consequential pensionary benefits and 6% interest on arrears, to be processed within two months.
