Facts of the Case

P&H: Grants Bail under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act  to Accused on parity basis, as Co‑Accused Acquitted Under UAPA.

High Court has granted bail to accused who was arrayed as an accused in a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) registered by the State Special Operation Cell. A Court allowed appeal under Section 21 of the National Investigation Agency Act and set aside order of Sessions Court refusing bail.

The FIR alleged that members of the banned Force were conspiring to carry out targeted killings. Three men were arrested with firearms. Accused was later nominated based on a co‑accused’s disclosure statement, alleging he sent photographs of targeted individuals.
