The Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed a petition filed by Yashpreet, through her father, seeking criminal action against respondents in a dispute over the appointment of an Assistant Professor at GNG College, Yamuna Nagar.

The petitioner had earlier filed a civil suit challenging the appointment of respondent No. 3, Dilshad Kaur, and claimed that the appointment was illegal. She also sought a direction that she herself be appointed, saying she was better qualified and more meritorious.
