P&H: Enhances Compensation for Injured Claimants in 2001 Motor Accident Case

Punjab and Haryana High Court has enhanced the compensation awarded to two injured claimants who suffered injuries in a motor accident involving a Tata Sumo in March 2001. Justice Parmod Goyal allowed the appeal filed by Gurwinder Singh and another, who had challenged the quantum of compensation granted by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Gurdaspur.

The claimants had suffered injuries in the accident allegedly caused by the rash and negligent driving of the respondent-driver. The Tribunal had awarded Rs.35,175 to the first claimant and Rs.1,01,270 to the second claimant.
