The Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed a protection petition filed by two women who said they were living together in a live-in relationship and feared threats from private respondents. The Court said the petition was not maintainable because the petitioners had not first approached the District Legal Services Authority or the State Human Rights Commission.
