The Punjab and Haryana High Court has set aside an order rejecting a university employee’s request for counting previous service benefits, finding that the decision was a non-speaking and cryptic order passed without reasons.

The petitioner, Dr. Nirmal Singh, had approached the court under Article 226 of the Constitution challenging the order dated 25 August 2025 by which his request for previous service benefits was declined.
