The Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed the revision petition filed by Ranvir Singh, a Haryana Roadways bus driver convicted in a 1999 road accident case that led to the death of a young cyclist, Jagpal Singh alias Pala.

The case arose from an FIR registered under Sections 279, 304-A and 427 of the IPC after the complainant, Harmesh Kumar, alleged that the bus came from behind at high speed on the Kalka-Zirakpur road, hit his nephew’s bicycle and then ran over him, crushing him to death on the spot.
